WELCOME TO
CLEAR THINKING
With Julian Stanley
Trained and qualified at both The Judge Business School at the University of Cambridge and Meyler Campbell - International coaching and leadership training specialists - I have many years experience of career, workplace and life coaching. Additionally, I am trained in mental health first aid, treating trauma and safeguarding, alongside signifcant senior leadership and human resources expertise gained from my work as a CEO, MD and non-executive director.
I have worked extensively in the education sector from early years through to university settings, using my expertise in the field of health and wellbeing, employment, skills, economic regeneration, arts, youth and criminal justice sectors.
I coach a diverse portfolio of clients including headteachers, CEO's, senior management teams, business owners, boards, aspiring leaders, experienced and newly qualified teachers, lecturers and students, looking for support in their personal and professional development, or to change of career direction, resolve conflicts and workplace management, communication and relationship issues. I also undertake strategic and operational business planning consultancy projects in partnership with schools, commercial and charitable organisations.
Using one-to-one coaching, group sessions, workshops and role play, my approach enables those I work with to feel heard and understood, to optimise their potential, arrive at clear thinking, define their goals and produce effective organisational strategies and personal action plans.
I specialise in diagnosing impediments to cultural and organisational change by providing a safe, confidential space to listen and pinpointing the causes of workplace stress and anxiety. This creates the conditions for increased confidence and lessons the impact and effect of trauma on those dealing with complex safeguarding issues, enabling the development and implementation of creative solutions individually and collectively.

WHY
COACHING?
Change is inevitable. Growth is intentional... it occurs when heart and head - feeling and thought - meet. These are the two winds that allow us to soar
Daniel Golman - Clinical Psychologist, Author & Educator.
"Coaching in all its forms has been shown to be one of the most effective personal development tools available, producing a hugely beneficial and often transformational impact in the lives on individuals and on the culture of teams and organisations of all kinds. It is a highly effective way to tackle tough situations and cope with new challenges. Sessions can reveal new approaches, ideas and insights about the way you view yourself and your abilities and plan for success."
Many of us find change exciting. Many other, including highly positive, talented, dedicated, hardworking and successful people, can unexpectedly experience feeling stuck, vulnerable, defensive or upset by planned or unplanned change.
Coaching enables. It offers you or your team a hugely effective and focussed method to work through road blocks, struggles and challenges. You set the agenda and I will facilitate so you can reflect, develop your thinking, explore your needs, values, ideas and goals, articulate challenges and importantly, produce a time bound plan of action. The process is powerful and it will allow you to undercover your own agency and resources to chart the steps necessary to move forward.
Clients report the coaching, reflective practice, constructive challenge and support they have experienced working with me, has resulted in new solutions and a "can-do" mindset that has resulted in positive changes in the workplace, increased self-confidence, greater resilience and more harmonious relationships at work and at home. Many clients say coaching has helped them create a healthier work-life balance and has significantly reduced their levels of stress and anxiety. Promotion, changing career direction and securing a more fulfilling job is common.
